What is Chair Massage?
The first chair massage technique, developed in California in 1982, is based upon the traditional art of Japanese massage called AMMA (”To calm with the hands”). This style of acupressure massage dates back 1300 years in Japan.
Today the client sits in a specially designed po rtable massage chair for a
relaxing, rejuvenating experience.
A touchback massage is performed by a fully trained touchback practitioner. The client remains fully
clothed and the massage includes the neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands.
